Kids Clean Club collaborates with Massachusetts Institute of Technology Researchers

Massachusetts Institute of Technology, also known as MIT, is an American private research university located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States of America

Wecyclers is a crowd-sourced recycling platform from MIT that harnesses the power of urban communities to reclaim their neighborhoods from unmanaged waste. They incentivize residents of urban slums to collect recyclable materials by providing social goods in exchange.

Wecyclers have been awarded funding from MIT to research a proposal around community-driven, crowd-sourced waste recycling in Lagos, Nigeria exploring ways to incentivize large volume, point-of-generation recycling in low-income areas.

The MEDIC team - founding organisation of the Kids Clean Club will be at their Neighbourhood Recycling Day
